755nm Fractional Laser

 

The 755nm fractional laser uses alexandrite as a medium and produces fractional laser beams by using MLA hand piece in long-pulsed alexandrite laser.

 

The 755nm fractional laser targets melanin as its main chromophore to be predominantly used to improve pigmented lesions.

 

In particular, it can quickly remove superficial pigments in the treatment of melasma without any irritation to the basement membrane.

Therefore, when a melasma therapy program is carried out, it would be very effective to target patients with dark skin color and tone as well as wide and deep melasma.

 

It can become the first laser procedure to shorten the melasma therapy period.

 

Usually, 2 to 3 passes are done, but 1 to 2 passes are recommended in patients with deep melasma.

 

In patients with mild melasma, it is needed to decide whether to additionally increase the number of passes after checking if pigmented lesions are turned into ash gray color.

 

If the number of passes increases and then the entire melasma lesions are turned into ash gray color, it can be confirmed that the skin becomes clear fast after the eschar is peeled off.

 

However, it is recommended to treat only 50% of what the practitioner intends to treat due to the possibility of deep pigmentation or wider melasma lesions about two weeks after the procedure.

 

694nm Fractional Laser

 

The 694nm fractional laser uses ruby as a medium and produces fractional laser beams using MLA hand piece in Q-switched ruby laser.

 

As with 755nm, 694nm targets melanin as its main chromophore and then is effective in treating pigmented lesions such as lentigo, melasma, and dark skin color and tone.
