Telogen Effluvium
Two to four months after the body is under extreme stress or irritation, excessive shedding occurs in which the hair begins to fall out.
This hair loss is called telogen effluvium. Causes include severe mental stress, childbirth, severe diet, massive bleeding, severe fever, surgery, anesthesia, chronic systemic diseases (cancer, kidney failure, liver failure, etc.), and drugs.

In telogen effluvium, telogen hair, which is usually about 10 to 15%, increases to 25% or more.
In severe cases, more than 150-400 pieces may fall out per day, and it tends to fall out evenly rather than intensively in one part.
In addition, as the hair loss progresses gradually, diffuse alopecia is shown, in which the overall hair density decreases.
Drugs can affect hair growth.
They can affect not only hair loss and hair growth, but also the color or shape of the hair. Most drugs that cause hair loss affect the matrix of hair follicles and cause changes.
The drug-induced telogen effluvium begins 3 months after taking the drug, and the patient experiences sudden hair loss, and in rare cases, the scalp may feel abnormal sensations and pain.
