    Various Indications of Yellow Laser

The indications of Yellow Laser are very diverse because it uses two wavelengths (Table 1).

Basically, it is very effective in improving vascular lesions and redness, also having an effect on improving acne and various dermatitis.

In particular, in the case of vascular melasma, telangiectasia, redness, and melasma are improved at the same time, so it is often very useful.

Yellow Laser has the advantage of being able to perform treatment immediately after cleansing without applying an anesthetic cream because the pain is not severe during the treatment.

In addition, it can be seen that the face immediately improves to a bright pink color without redness or swelling after the treatment, making it an effective laser for patients who want a treatment that does not interfere with daily life.

Looking more closely at vascular lesions, the 578nm wavelength has a high absorbance for oxyhemoglobin, which is advantageous for the treatment of vascular lesions (Figure 3), but due to its short wavelength, the depth of penetration into the tissue is shallow, so it is effective in treating superficial capillaries, especially telangiectasia with small diameters, flush, and acne redness, and its treatment effect for cherry hemangioma is also very good.

However, treatment outcomes for large hemangiomas such as port wine stain are not very good.
