▶ Previous Artlcle : #16-5. Yellow Laser
Therefore, a wavelength of 560nm, which can affect the sebaceous glands with a slightly longer wavelength, and has a high absorbance for porphyrin, is widely used in photodynamic therapy.
Yellow Laser’s 578nm wavelength is close to the 560nm wavelength, so this wavelength can be used to treat acne.
Mild acne can be treated with Yellow Laser alone, and severe acne can be treated by wiping off after incubating ALA or Methyl-ALA for at least 30 minutes, and mixing the 511nm and 578nm wavelengths at the ratio of 10:90 or 30:70 depending on the skin color or the severity of pustule in order to yield better outcomes (Figure 6).

Yellow Laser can treat inflammatory diseases such as atopy, psoriasis, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis, or alleviate symptoms by reducing prostaglandin, IL-1, ROS, etc. in tissues and has the effects of wrinkle and elasticity improvement and whitening through regeneration of aged skin.
In conclusion, Yellow Laser is a gentle laser that can be used without an anesthetic cream and has immediate effects without the need for a recovery period after the treatment, with various indications such as improvement of pigmentation, blood vessels, benign tumor lesions, and dermatitis.
