    Action of Skin Booster

The main functioning of skin rejuvenation booster is to activate the major targets (BMZ and the upper papillary dermis) and nourish the aged or damaged fibroblasts so that their original functions can be facilitated and to stimulate interactions (paracrine crosstalk with keratinocyte, mechanical tension) between fibroblasts and extracellular matrix cells.

Such mutual exchanges between epidermis and dermis via the BMZ are very vital for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging.

<Figure 3> shows that the multiple substances (Laminin, Type IV‧VII Collagens) located in the BMZ serve as an intercellular linkage between epidermis and dermis, which is greatly influential in keeping skin homeostasis.

Among such substances, Laminin 5 in the BMZ plays the most significant role (Figure 4), as an important structure that is connected to keratinocytes of the epidermis through Intergrinα6ß4 in the upper BMZ and to the dermis through Type VII Collagen of the upper papillary dermis in the lower BMZ.

Therefore, the regeneration and activation of Laminin are very essential for entire skin rejuvenation and anti-aging (Laminin 5 interacts with Type IV Collagen through Nidogen of BMZ by forming complexes with Laminin 6, 7).

In the end, the significant functioning of skin boosters is targeted at keratinocytes in the upper part of BMZ (particularly Lminin 5) and at fibroblasts in its lower part.

If active substances are infused especially into the targets, more positive effects are anticipated (Figure 5).
