There have been sufficient studies (see Figure 4) indicating that Pantogar has outstanding effects on treating diffuse alopecia, degenerative changes in hair structure, and damaged hair structure, studies that serve as the basis of treating hair loss with Pantogar as an auxiliary treatment.

Diffuse alopecia usually refers to female pattern alopecia.

The hair loss begins at the crown and gradually widens so that the entire scalp loses the hairs evenly and the hair density decreases.

These findings are also observed in cases of telogen effluvium, caused by excessive stress, surgeries, massive bleeding, thyroid diseases, systemic diseases such as diabetes, severe diet, and drugs.

Diffuse hair loss is also seen in postpartum telogen alopecia after childbirth and anagen effluvium by side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

In terms of male patients, 80 to 90% of them have androgenetic male pattern alopecia caused by genes and DHT hormone and less than 10% display the findings of diffuse alopecia.
