Production and Effects of Laminin and Fibronectin

Fibroblasts are produced through FGF stimulation by the basic mechanism of action of PDRN/PN, regenerating collagen.

While it is a fundamental principle that the dermal environments are regenerated through the neovascularization by VEGF/angiopoietin to make the skin healthy and to suppress aging, what we focus on is the production of laminin and fibronectin.

Many papers have already demonstrated that the expression of laminin, the most important component of the basement membrane (BM) forming the boundary and linkage between the epidermis and the dermis, is increased through the action of PDRN.

Laminin, a cross-shaped protein located in the lamina densa of the BM, is a bridge-like substance that plays a significant role in the interactions between the epidermis and the dermis (paracrine network) and is involved in the actions of several cells.
