Myer’s cocktails
Myer’s cocktail therapy may be the easiest upgrade of megadose IVC. Myer’s cocktail therapy adds vitamins B5, B6, and B12 to megadose IVC and increases the magnesium dose. Vitamins B5, B6, and B12 are sometimes referred to as Myer’s trio. The reason for a growing interest in vitamins B5, B6, and B12 and magnesium is that these three among B vitamins are deeply involved in energy metabolism and B6, in particular, acts to enhance the benefits of magnesium. This concoction is also effective in improving basic metabolism, various nonspecific pains, and anxiety which are common complaints of patients with chronic fatigue. On top of the benefits of megadose IVC, Myer’s cocktail brings additional benefits of stabilizing the nerve, promoting energy metabolism and alleviating pain, etc.
1) Magnesium
Magnesium acts as a catalyst to metabolic reactions to carbohydrates. It also acts as a coenzyme of vitamins B1, B2 and B6. It is a natural sedative and helps alleviate pain, muscle convulsion, hypersensitive nerves, hypertension, and allergic reactions, etc.

2) Vitamin B5 (Panthothenic acid)
Vitamin B5 is a component of co-enzyme A (CoA) and is involved in fatty acid oxidization, acetyl CoA and acetylcholine synthesis, cholesterol and heme synthesis, and amino acid degradation, etc. It also makes up acyl carrier protein (ACP) and is used in fatty acid synthesis. Vitamin B5 is generally known as the anti-stress vitamin due to its benefits in alleviating chronic fatigue, nervous system fatigue, hypoglycemia, hypotension, and insomnia, etc. It also helps improve tissue development of the brain and central nervous system, hypoadrenia and hypofunction.
