▶ Previous Artlcle: #5-3. A Case of Treatment for Side Effects of Arm Liposuction
<Fig. 2> shows appearances of the arm before and after treatment respectively. In the picture on the left, the pre-treatment arm appears seriously bumpy, and in the picture on the right, the contour of the arm shown six months after transplantation of fat mixed with stem cells appears normal, indicating that the surface irregularity was well treated.
<Fig 3> shows “before and after photos” taken from the side. The adverse effects of the wrong liposuction were eventually recovered until no more treatment was needed.
Although many patients who suffered from side effects after liposuction were diagnosed as irreversible after consulting doctors at revision surgery hospitals, their conditions were well treated following a surgical procedure from me. Since liposuction is never an easy surgery, above all, liposuction surgeon's skilled technique and long experience seem to be very important.

I have treated patients who visited my hospital due to post-liposuction side effects since 2004. Thinking that a revision surgery may be the last chance for hope to those in desperate situation, I feel motivated about this work as a doctor.
I also find it very important for surgeons to carefully choose a surgical method well suited to their own skill and technique. All surgeons need to be aware that patients who suffer from post-operative complications, pain, etc. would have a hard time, and such unfavorable outcomes would become a big ordeal for surgeons.
In recent years, legal disputes related to side effects of surgery has been on the rise. Therefore, the importance of surgeons' precision in performing a surgery cannot be emphasized enough.
Also in the next issue, another case where side effects of a surgical fat removal procedure were treated will be described.
