However, the recommended intake is interpreted differently.
The FAO and the WHO announced that the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of selenium is 50 to 200μg/person/day based on adult, and the RDA of selenium for cancer prevention is 500μg/person/day or above.

Generally, inorganic selenium such as sodium selenite must not be used with vitamin C.
When co-administered with vitamin C, selenium is turned into a pink precipitate as it reacts with vitamin C.
Even when inorganic selenium is injected, it is contraindicated to mix inorganic selenium and vitamin C.
Therefore, it is advised to have a time interval of approximately one hour between oral administration or injection of inorganic selenium and vitamin C intake.
Recently released selenium preparations are produced in the form of organic selenium such as seleno-methionine.
This type of selenium preparations in the form of amino acid do not interact with vitamin C even after concurrent administration and is absorbed into the body.
When it comes to selenium injection and vitamin C, it is also known to be safe to administer them immediately or continously because after combination with vitamin C in amino acid fluid, the precipitation of selenium occurs gradually over 24 hours.
When selenium is intended to be used for the promotion of health, it is advised to adequately determine its dose according to the recommended dose of around 200ug and mix it with amino acid.
If appropriately used as a series injection along with a vitamin C-containing injection, selenium is viewed as considerably beneficial in terms of anti-aging and well-being.
