    Indications

    a. Joint regions, upper and lower limb regions with high mobility, and deep third degree burns

    b. Reconstruction of burns or traumatic scar contractures.

    c. Skin grafts in patients predisposed to keloid skin or hypertrophic scars.

    d. Severe cases of pruritus and pain from hypertrophic scars.

    e. Extensive excision of skin lesions in giant hairy nevus or skin cancer, etc.

    Considerable indications (Figure 5)

    a. Wound coverage carried out after eschar removal in a patient with life-threatening burn injury.

    b. Elderly patients over 60 years of age with delayed wound healing in the donor site due to thin skin or pediatric patients predisposed to hypertrophic scars.

    c. Cases requiring thick STSG for maximizing contracture correction or aesthetic outcomes.

    d. Cases of visible donor sites.

    e. Black or dark brown skin with high risk of hypertrophic scarring, post-surgical complications with hypertrophic scars, or hypertrophic scarring of vaccination sites.
