Precise injection

A good cannula supports more precise injection techniques. FMC increases the accuracy during injection of filler and other products.

To ensure safe and accurate injection into the target, the location of the hole is marked with a red dot indicator at the cannula hub. Moreover, the measurement marks along the shaft (1 line for each centimeter and 2 lines for 5 centimeters) indicates the depth and location of injection, making the injection safer and more accurate.

The location and size of the side port

The location of the cannula hole is very important. As the area around the hole is the thinnest and weakest, it is frequently damaged. Therefore, using a thin cannula requires a lot of caution. The closer the hole is to the tip, the more accurate the injection and less chance of damage. In FMC, the hole is placed closer to the tip compared to other cannulas. I have not experienced any cannula damage using FMC in my practice. Some cannulas with side ports far from the tip do get damaged from use.

Special caution is needed in injecting very thin 27G or 30G cannulas to prevent damage. The puncture needle prevents cannula damage and makes injection easier.

Pre-hole puncture needle

The puncture needle is not supplied with some cannulas but FMC comes with a useful puncture needle. Some brands offer puncture needles of the same diameter as the cannula. In elastic skin, insertion of a cannula may be difficult when it has the same width as the puncture needle.

On the other hand, the puncture needle of FMC is wider than the cannula (for example, the 27G cannula is supplied with 26G puncture needle). This makes the insertion smooth and easy.

Conclusion

Various cannulas with different advantages and disadvantages are available in the market. However, I highly recommend electrolytic grinded, ultra-thin wall and high quality stainless steel FMC due to its excellent reliability and safety. FMC allows easy control and precise techniques during treatment. The scale needle, dot indicator, and puncture needle also make it one of the most user-friendly cannulas in the market.
