Overview
In general, treatments of acne include sebum reduction, oral anti-inflammatory medication, topical agents, chemical peel, and various laser therapies. Recent trends favor combining multiple modalities, rather than trying a single therapy. A new, effective treatment that can tackle both acne and scar is FCR.
FCR’s active ingredients are coral calcium (mineral) and micro prickles derived from seaweed. These beneficial ingredients are delivered to the dermis and stimulates it for 24-72 hours, promoting epidermal growth, removing keratin and unclogging pores. It is a safe and effective peeling agent with fractional action. Coral calcium powder and small seaweed prickles improve blood circulation of the skin and accelerate epidermal cell differentiation, bringing clarified and elastic skin. It also improves acne by removing keratin built up in the epidermis and pores.

FCR is not abrasive and does not cause pain or redness. The First Solution alone with rich fractional prickles and herbal extracts can provide a light peeling without erythema. One can choose between two solutions – Regentron active and Deac regentron active – depending on the desired peeling intensity. This peel is also beneficial in patients with sensitive skin. It will help minimize pores and acne scars by promoting cell regeneration.
Another benefit of FCR is that it can be easily combined with other treatments. It can be carried out in conjunction with PDT or 1450nm laser as a comprehensive regimen. Acne associated with adolescent hormonal imbalance or adult acne caused by stress can also benefit from FCR as it prevents excess sebum production.
Treatment protocol
The treatment process consists of 10-minute manual application followed by a 10-minute break, and a soothing gel mask. One should be careful not to rub the agent on the skin too forcefully, as this could irritate the skin and cause lasting erythema. It is important to adjust the pressure of the fingertips for different face areas and skin thickness. Place tapes under the eye areas to prevent the prickles from entering the eyes.
Caution
Patient satisfaction is generally high with a single treatment. However, the ideal treatment frequency is 3-5 times with 2-3 week intervals in between. This can be adjusted depending on patient response. Redness can develop during the first 1-2 days after treatment. During 3-4 days, the skin starts to become flaky as the keratin starts to exfoliate. Exfoliation continues for a week and clear and smooth skin is restored. I do not recommend this treatment for patients with atopic dermatitis, telangiectasia, and allergic reactions.
Post-treatment care
Post-treatment care is very important for promoting clear and healthy skin. One should strongly advise the patient to perform regenerative facials at home, as well as use a sunblock outdoors.
Benefits of FCR
FCR contains various herbal extracts and rich coral calcium prickles. The prickles are delivered deeply into the dermis, regenerating the skin from within. It promotes new cell generation and natural keratin turnover. Its regenerative action is completed by exfoliation. It would be particularly useful for patients who are seeking to enjoy a clearer skin for the upcoming warm weather.
