Mr. Jung: Three different product lines of Fox Peel were developed considering the recent trend of combination therapy. This would not have been possible without Dr. Maeng’s input. In particular, he proposed the concept of “healing square.”
Dr. Maeng: “Healing square” proposes a systematic approach to treating a condition. For example, a dermatologic condition or obesity is not just a localized problem but can benefit more from a systematic approach including internal treatment.
I’ll Global’s Transparency
D&PS: As a medical advisor, what do you think of Mr. Jung?
Dr. Maeng: To be honest, my first impression of him was a hard-nosed businessman. But after meeting with him a few times at a more casual setting, I found that we was very friendly. He is very confident and result-oriented, which are qualities that I greatly admire. I’ll Global is a company that continues to better itself. It never sits on its laurels and keeps trying new projects. I’ll Global always tries to understand the perspective of its clients.

D&PS: What are your thoughts on Dr. Maeng as your medical advisor?
Mr. Jung: Dr. Maeng has a boyish image about him but brings tremendous energy to everything he does. He leads the academic association with great vigor and is passionate about giving us feedback on our products.
D&PS: Has I’ll Global not been able to meet any of your requests?
Dr. Maeng: Most clients expect a drastic improvement. However, it is very difficult to satisfy everyone with a single product. Conditions like acne is particularly difficult to treat using a single modality.
Mr. Jung: The product may contain best quality ingredients but if it is not clinically efficacious, quality ingredients mean nothing. Acne is a condition that is particularly difficult to tackle. We will continue to update the product to improve quality.
D&PS: One important job of a medical advisor is to train other clients. Tell us more about this.
Mr. Jung: We are focusing a lot of efforts on exports. Our distributors in foreign markets often organize lectures for local doctors. Dr. Maeng provides presentations on Fox Peel and other products of I’ll Global in our foreign markets.
Dr. Maeng: I also give many talks in Korea. The best thing about leading these training sessions is that I also learn a lot from them. I study the topic in a greater depth while preparing for the talk. I also learn a lot from communicating with the audience. For example, I have been advising the audience not to combine Fox Peel with Laser toning as it could cause irritation. However, one member of the audience asked why the two procedures could not be combined. I could not really come up with a good reason not to. If Laser energy was reduced and the peel was used mildly, I see no problem in combining them.

D&PS: Lastly, what do I’ll Global products have in common?
Dr. Maeng: Personally, I like them because they don’t try to oversell. The market for medical cosmetics is growing and many new products aggressively tout their effects. They often claim incredulous outcomes. I’ll Global does not do that. That is why I trust them more.
Mr. Jung: I am grateful for such a positive review. No products are perfect and we continue to improve the quality of our products. We will work harder and continue to provide honest and high-quality medical cosmetics.
