A leading authority of minimally invasive dermatologic procedure in Taiwan Dr. Peter Peng of P-Skin Professional Clinic
The key to success of minimally invasive treatment is creating the overall balance of the facial features.
The population of Taiwan is currently about 23 million. Among these, about 1,000 are dermatologists and 500 are plastic surgeons. However, there are about 10,000 doctors of other specialties that also perform aesthetic procedures, greatly outnumbering specialists of aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Peter Peng is a leading dermatologist in Taiwan.
Dr. Peng is the founding member of Chinese Society of Cosmetic Surgery and Anti-aging Medicine and is active in major international academic associations including IMCAS. He is the medical director of P-Skin Professional Clinic, one of the most successful dermatologist offices of Taiwan. He is also a consultant to various device and filler manufacturers.
He specializes in minimally invasive filler and botulinum toxin procedures and keeps himself up to date with current trends of the aesthetic medicine market in Korea as well as Asia.

Dr. Peter Peng’s practice, despite his specialty in minimally invasive procedures, boasts a wide range of devices. Combination of various modalities have brought positive outcome.
“We mainly perform aesthetic treatments including removal of pigmented lesions and nevi, hair removal, treatment of acne and scars, skin tightening, botulinum toxin injection, and filler procedures. I like combining various devices in my practice as combination therapy brings better results. For example, combinations of Er:YAG Laser and Ruby Laser, or Er:YAG Laser and Q-switched Alexandrite Laser or Q-switched Alexandrite Laser and Nd:YAG Laser are used for pigmented lesion or nevus removal.”
For Dr. Peng, the most important aspect of any procedure is creating the natural balance of the overall face.
“The key objective of treating patients is creating a beautiful harmony of the facial features. I personally call this ‘3D MTV’ lift. 3D MTV refers to 3 dimensional whole face treatment. The letter M stands for midface augmentation, T for area contouring lower face, and V for lifting. The doctor can deliver the outcome of a smaller and more elegantly shaped face when prioritizing the overall balance.”
Dr. Peng is particularly interested in filler, botulinum toxin and thread lift and pointed out two important aspects of aesthetic treatment.
“Safety and good outcome are the most important when it comes to aesthetic procedures. Filler and botulinum toxin procedures are becoming very popular in Taiwan. I believe this trend is driven by ‘CSI’. Here, C stands for ‘comfort’ of the minimally or non-invasive treatment, S for ‘short downtime’ and I for ‘immediate result.’ As the effect of filler materials is lasting longer, their popularity is ever increasing.”
